The 2014 Preseason All-NEC Football Team has a noticeable red streak running through it. It’s a streak of “Sacred Heart” red to be exact as the defending NEC champion Pioneers occupy more than 25 percent of the spots on the 27-member preseason all-league list. Sacred Heart, which is the NEC head coaches’ unanimous selection to capture the 2014 conference crown, is home to a league-high seven preseason all-NEC selections. *Included in that group are Walter Payton Award candidate Keshaudas Spence and Buck Buchanan Award hopeful Troy Moore.
