At this time last year Sacred Heart found itself slotted seventh of seven teams in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Ten wins, twelve months and a FCS playoff appearance later, and Mark Nofri’s Pioneers are the unanimous preseason favorite to win the 2014 conference crown. Duquesne, which shared the league title with the Pioneers last year but lost the head-to-head matchup, earned second place in the poll.
