Before we won today, we felt we needed to do something miraculous to just stick with ILSU; and we dominated them. Now WIU upsets UNI in the Dome......

The wild and wooly Gateway continues to amaze!! Last week UNI goes to Youngstown and beats the Penguins, while WIU gets dominated at home by the ISU Redbirds. This week the Leathernecks go to Cedar Falls and take down the red-hot Panthers, while YSU goes to Normal and stuns the Redbirds. WOW!!!

Still 3 weeks to go....you just NEVER know in the instensely competitive Gateway. :eek:

Our AD was interviewed at halftime and he said "he just couldn't feel the excitement on our sideline" before the game. Why? Does anyone on the team actually think we had the Gateway locked up going into this game? This team continues to confuse me. IMO, I think we have players that would rather look good personally and lose rather than look bad and win. :twocents:

The last time the Necks were unranked and beat a top ten ranked team was in 1993 and they beat UNI. We have played so close all year, it was just a matter of time that we would finally win one. To shut out UNI for the entire 2nd half was awesome. While we have no chance for a playoff game, at least we do have a chance for a winning season and are building a good team for next year. You gotta love the G'way and whoever comes out on top will represent the rest of the teams very well in the playoffs.

Great gameplan from WIU today! The 'Necks earned that W... UNI...not such a great plan and EVERYONE looked flat. The officiating crew was one of the most unorganized I have EVER seen. Had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of the game, but those guys looked like chickens running around with their heads cut off...xlolx
