Well, the Temple Owls have won a football game!
The Div I-A Independent Owls were 28-14 winners at home against the MAC's Bowling Green, a team that was 3-2 in the MAC and 4-4 overall entering this game.
How 'bout that?
Guess we won't hear as much Temple smack from Jim Rome and the usual hosts of others. Still don't think Temple is cut out for I-A Independent life. We'll see how things change in the future...

Woohooo!!! Hopefully this will translate into some, even if it's just a little, positive momentum for the rest of the year. :hurray: :hurray:

Unreal...blind squirrels find acorns too. This will only provide a little spark to the slightly smoldering embers of the program that should be allowed to go cold....

No, I think they're already joining the MAC--reason why they've been playing various MAC teams this year.

Not only did Temple win, but on the same day, Southen Cal lost, to Oregon St. of all teams. Clearly Saturday was a huge "F$#@ YOU" from the gambling gods!

They actually printed attendance at around 21,000! Don't know if it was ticket sales or actual appearances....

Isn't that one zero too many?:D
Seriously, if it was that many, maybe it was Eagles fans who wanted to see the one team in Philly capable of winning a I-A game. :p
