Howard quarterback Greg McGee was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) preseason Offensive Player of the Year, while Norfolk State linebacker Lynden Trail was awarded preseason Defensive Player of the Year honors by the MEAC head football coaches and sports information directors.
