Lehigh's surprising soccer team has now risen well into the Top 20 in the US achieving a 14-1-1 record so far and having been unscored upon in 633 minutes. The Mountain Hawks knocked off Penn State yesterday in State College for the first win in history over the Nittany Lions. While picked to challenge for the PL title this year, so far the team has exceeded most expectations. Huge showdown with that certain school from Easton on Saturday, who also is fielding an excellent team this year.

Wish I could make it up for that one...maybe I'll try, but Saturday looks tough...looks like they could meet up again in the PL tourney...

Lehigh has already clinched regular season title, so they'll have home field. 'pards will likely be in the field of four.

we've clinched a spot...I believe we may already have clinched the 2 seed...

Lafayette will eat the Hawks for lunch... again...

We have made a habit of beating Lehigh in the PL title game to advance to the tourney! :D :rotateh:

NOT THIS TIME P4L! Mountain Hawks now 15-1-1 and undefeated in PL. Both teams had the #1 and 2 seeds sewn up for the tourney, so no reason for any 'holding back' for any type of conservative play and yet a defensive struggle. Game went into OT.

Note: I said in the PL tourney it will happen... :rotateh:

Hopefully both teams will make in to the final again, and it'll be another classic...with a different result...

No... same result... Pards to the NCAAs... it usually happens over Lehigh...

Meant different result than the other night...

And a question for the panel...I know the PL usually just gets one team into the NCAAs (I think, right?) If Lafayette or someone else knocks off Lehigh, they'd have an at-large bid coming, right? Or am I way off here?

I heard Lehigh is now ranked #8. So even with an unlikely loss to the 'pards at home, an at-large could still be in the offing...

Lafayette shouldn't get too excited about facing the Hawkineers just yet...

Colgate awaits you in the tournament, and we've already beaten you once.

BTW, NSCAA.com has the national poll out tomorrow (Tuesday). They're the one you're probably thinking of. If Lehigh is really up to #8, congrats :hurray:
