A junior at the U. of Hawaii. Check out these numbers. Not too shabby even for a system that passes every play. His interceptions are much fewer than Timmy Chang's.

Timmy Chang looked more like Timmy from South Park in the NFL preseason. But Colt Brennan is definitely a good QB name. Sounds like a character in Varsity Blues 2.

Ive seen alot of Hawaii games cuz they start at like 112pm on DirecTV...He is a product of the system and plays against a bad WAC pass defense every week

Having a played a dynasty season with Hawaii, Brennan threw for like 4500 yards for me. He's quite a passer but like Timmy Chang, a product of the system.

He's not just a product of the system if he equals his projected stats. Are you kidding me? 52 touchdowns with only 9 interceptions, 72.9 completion percentage, and a quarterback rating of 183.10!! I would guess that Chang's numbers were never that good. As a matter of fact Chang's interceptions almost always equaled his TD passes. If you are throwing the ball almost every play and only toss 9 interceptions on the year, you are doing something special.

You just proved my point. This Brennan guy won't have anywhere close to 77 interceptions AND is on pace to break Chang's TD mark. Here are his numbers against Alabama and Boise State. They are impressive:
OPP RESULT CMP ATT YDS CMP% LNG TD INT RAT
@Alabama L 25-17 30 44 350 68.2 32 2 1 145.46
@Boise State L 41-34 25 36 388 69.4 37 5 1 200.26

He is still a product of the system. If he wasn't, he would not be playing at Hawaii. he would be at Michigan or Ohio St

???? Dude, I didn't say he was good enough to play for one of the two best teams in the country. I simply stated that he has played very well and has very impressive numbers!! You can preach all you want to about "the system" that he plays in (which I think is a lame football excuse), but this guy is on the Heisman Trophy watch list. There is only a select few guys on that list. And if it was just "the system" working for Brennan, then he wouldn't be on that list. But, preach on... ...those excuses fall on deaf ears. I just wanted to know if anyone had even heard of this guy, as he has been placed in a group with the most elite offensive college football players in the nation.

It would seem he's better than Chang just by looking at his completion percentage. Brennan's is currently 72.9%, while Chang's best was his senior year number of 59.5%. However, on the flip side, Brennan has had 273 pass attempts in 7 games, putting him on pace for 507 pass attempts in a 12 game season+bowl game. Timmy Chang, in 13 games counting the bowl game his senior year, attempted 602 passes. He had 601 attempts his Jr. year in 13 games. Chang averaged over 7 more attempts per game, which obviously could impact his average if most were incomplete. I don't think he had much in the way of receivers those last couple years of his career, while Brennan has a strong group of pass catchers, starting with his number one target Davone Bess.
Still, if you throw 500 passes and complete 70% of them, it is difficult to say you're JUST a product of the system.
