We were almost going to be voting a new #1. Note I said, almost.

So I guess since ASU pulled the win they still stay #1. Montana got the W so they stay #2. But ISU pulled a clear win, so will they move up to #1 or #2, or stick at #3? UMASS is looking at at least #4. NDSU lost to Minnesota by 1 point, so will they drop, stay the same...I don't think they would move up even though it is pretty impressive. So that could put JMU at #5 or #6 depending on NDSU. What a crazy crazy week.

Istill think App and Montana are 1 & 2, respectively with UNI followed by ISU. The strange thing is that NDSU climbed several spots in the poll even though they lost. I still think they are a better team than those ranked below them.

Say what? You think UNI moves past ISU? The Birds throttled SIU last week, and this week they manhandled (a very good) WIU team at their place. The Panthers do get an important victory over YSU, so that means that go from #13 to #3? No way!
ISU's last two victories have been pretty darn impressive because they completely stomped two very good opponents. I could see the Birds picking up a few more #1 votes in this week's polls.
The Redbirds will soon have yet another chance to impress when YSU pays a visit to Hancock Stadium. ISU should have some big-time payback on their minds after giving away the game last year at the Ice Palace.

I am not sure what to do with NDSU this week.......they played a hell of a game, but a loss is a loss..........

I had them ranked pretty high, so they dropped a couple of spots but are still well within the top ten. I figured it wouldn't be fair to treat them any differently than the other teams with 1 loss to a I-A.

depends on the type of loss...a 31-14 looks worse than a 10-9 loss...maybe its because I watched the NDSU game and know that Minny was OWNED, just happened to win

HOLY CRAP the middle of this poll is hard, especially when 7 of my top 16 LOST

Final scores don't always indicate how a game went...trash points happen. ISU should be a clear #2 or even a #1. Montana at #2..but the top three are interchangeable this week....

With Poly's and YSU's losses, and NDSU's domination of all but the score....
I'd say Matt's take appears about right.

A one point loss to a I-A squad won't drop them too bad. I had them in my top 5 and will definetly be in my top 10 this week.

UNI should move up considerbly, but ISU is still THE team in the GFC for now.
