It's not like your kicker missed it, you guys went for 2 which makes since... Its makes no difference if its 24-19 or 24-20.... but it does if its 24-21...

Great win for the Toppers. After seeing them against Eastern Kentucky, I thought it would be a long season. So far I am pleasently surprised. This year's team has continued to improve every game. A lot like the 2002 team. Indiana State should give WKU a welcome break. (History tells us otherwise). It is too bad that SIU has dropped two after beating Indiana. It just proves how balance the Gateway Conference is.

SIU is not a playoff team and i'm embarassed that I actually was fooled by them for the 4th straight season. Our defense couldn't stope a bad high school team and we will be LUCKY to win another game. YSU and UNI will destroy us. I am just sick and embarassed.

Listened to this one , great game, and SIU fans, don't be down, this loss could be exactly the thing you need to pull a UNI a la 2005. ANY GIVEN SATURDAY. SHOOT Indiana State won.

Great win on the road by the Hilltoppers...congrats! Man, this game caught me by suprise. Thought the Salukis would be on the rebound after last week's drubbing at the hands of ISU, but 1 to 6 the Gateway is ultra-competitive this year...no doubt about it. :nod:

Boy is that missed 19 yard field goal against Ill. St. is looming large now. We make that and win the game and we're in charge of the Gateway at 4-0 with only one road game left. Could have been set up great. Oh well, woulda, coulda, shoulda. Nice to think about but doesn't mean squat. Our offense (with everyone healthy) is as good as any in the conference and probably the best overall. Our defense is improving rapidly even though it looked bad early in the seaon. Our special teams SUCKS!!! No excuse for the special team's continual breakdowns.

Too early to throw in the towel, grad.
WKU is much better than a "bad high school team". They have RB Lerron Moore back healthy which makes them a possible contender. QB Justin Haddix limped back on the field and pulled a "Willis Reed" inspiring his team to victory. WKU controlled the clock and outplayed us, especially in the second half. There is work to do. but the season is not over yet. The Gateway schedule is a meat grinder and seldom does a team get through it undefeated.
