We finally saw a 60 minute game without self-inflicted wounds. Bucknell doggedly stuck to its ground game. Impressive opening drive but stalled. It's tough to go 80 yards on the ground.
Moving Thomas to the secondary paid dividends with an INT, although Ahye got burned again. I've got concerns about that next week in Worcester.
Offense moved very well and at will. Everyone looked comfortable and Threatt played smart and had some drops. Running game was excellent.
Of course, it was Bucknell and this is what should have happened. Next week's game will be huge. Payback time for last year's dousing....

Secondary better get better next week, Holy Cross picked the Easton school apart today. Pass rush will be critical next week and nickel package may be in all day.

Go engineers!

This was the Andy Coen offense we have been waiting to see all year. He mixed it up well and called an excellent game. Threat looked much more confortable, made good decisions and was on target all day. Yansone is a real talent and is starting to emerge.

We certainly are enjoying Kevin Higgins in Charleston.

We loved him in Bethlehem as well. You have a great coach there...Lehigh fans were sad to see him move on to the NFL when he left Lehigh. Couldn't blame him though. Glad to see him having success in the SoCon. Hopefully we can get the Citadel on the schedule in the future. Would love to see Kevin roaming the sidelines in Bethlehem again, even if it is on the other side of the field.;)

Kevin is a class act. We were really sorry to see him leave for the Detroit Lions (and in retrospect, he may be as well ;) ). Would be great to set up a home and home with The Citadel. My wife and I loved Charleston this past May when we visited.

No question, Kotulski is going to have to come up with a very good pressure package. With Thomas back in the secondary, the added experience should be a great help. Could be a track meet if the weather cooperates. What weekend coming up. While we're at Holy Cross, Lafayette will be at Colgate. Big ramifications..:D

Threat looked much better today, but he badly missed a sure TD by overthrowing the receiver in the endzone. He showed much needed improvement, but still has some slow reads. Still, I'll take the improvement and look for more next week. LU dominated today, even if it was Bucknell. The important part was that the team made few self-inflicted wounds and when there were some flaws, they were not at critical junctures of the game. Nice win.
