Dismal start, team looks like it's gonna struggle all year, beat up 9-1 last night, when exactly is enough enough? Any other team would've fired Clarkie long ago.

I think Buffalo is still scoring goals as we speak

Yikes was that disturbing. I think Buffalo scored on four straight shots on goal. Talk about a thrashing. It's like being taken behind the woodshed, getting whupped, and then having the woodshed fall down on you as well. The Flyers are just abysmal and there's no relief in sight. But, even with all of this mediocrity, Clarke should've been fired years ago - I'm not sure even this will do it, Snider loves the guy like a son and I don't see him changing him short of Clarke resigning on his own.

Maybe a sea of empty seats at the Wachovia Center will do the trick!

In defense, Buffalo is thrashing everyone right now

I haven't followed the Flyers since before the lockout... Scant NHL coverage in the local paper coupled with crappy TV deals kind of pushed them away from my focus.
If, however unlikely, Ed Snider gets the stones to fire his golden boy, I will start following them again. I used to attend the Flyers-Coyotes game in Phx every year, but haven't the last few. I'll start going again.

As a fan of a certain "any other team" on Long Island, I can only wish that was the case...:bang:

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Flyers general manager Bob Clarke resigned and coach Ken Hitchcock was fired in a major shakeup Sunday, with Philadelphia off to its worst start in more than 15 years.

A real shame,...but it had to happen. Clarkie has been the heart and soul of the Flyers, but just couldn't pull it all together as GM. He will still be the hero of the Broad Street Bullies, but tis time to move on. The season is very early, and plenty of time to get righted. Right move at the right time.

Definitely needed a change...the games are getting hard to watch...obviously Clarke's legacy as a player kept him around...but they need something to spark them...I guess we'll see how this goes...

So unlike the Charlie Manuel Watch, this one seemed rather foresighted
