The Sam Houston State football players are working harder now than they do game days.
Ask any player and he will say that championship-level football begins in the offseason. With seven weeks passed since the Bearkats’ season ended against Southeastern Louisiana in the second round of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs, the cool down period is over.
But when the players aren’t working on strength and conditioning, or getting back into their school routines for the spring semester, they’re wondering what it will be like to play for a new head coach in 2014.
