Jax State promotes Grass to head coach

It only took a few hours after Bill Clark announced he was taking UAB job and JSU staff announces offensive coordinator John Grass will stay and take head coach job.

I like the hire!

We're slowly taking over the coaching ranks, Clark at UAB (a JSU grad), now Grass at JSU (a JSU grad)

Might have preferred Houston Nutt but give Grass a chance. He did a great job as OC.

It would have been funny if Nutt did get the job.

A decent hire, hope he sticks around longer than Clark did. I think the AD has had this in the works ever since Clark angrily denied he had already taken the job as reported in the coaching search website.
