A major college football award was recently renamed to honor Eastern’s longtime football coach, Roy Kidd. College Sporting News, the major college news service covering the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), changed the name of its NCAA FCS Coach of the Year award to the Roy Kidd Award, honoring Eastern’s legendary coach, who led the team for 39 years.
