If this is the case then I can't wait to see the videos in at the last few games!

I like how almost all of the big hits in the intro were against SFA. That's awesome. You guys don't know how jealous we are of yall because yall have that video board. I'm sure it adds so much to the atmosphere of the game.

Pat - those videos are awesome! I especially like watching that EWU battle...what a game that was for the Kats!! Too bad we couldn't finish the job at Wa-Griz and play in the NC game - dammit!!
Keep up the good work :hurray:  :hurray:

I'm going to withold my jealousy until I can compare SHSU's board to McNeese's board which I saw this past weekend.

This is our first year to do it plus we don't have a new soundsystem yet. Plus we don't have all the equipment that we should have. I wouldn't say its fair to compare....yet Plus, that game was on TV. TV allows for a much better videoboard presentation than no TV-timeouts.
Also, I havn't had a chance to see how other schools run a good videoboard. UT and SMUs performances were pretty crappy. They did nothing except show replays and ads. So I can at least say we are better than them ;)

I'd love to see McNeese's board. While I do not like the look of their board from the pictures (don't like how the ads are up there in a funky way), I'm curious about the content of the board and what kind of capabilities that thing has...
Pat and Co are working their tails off on the content and it's only getting better. Two games in the books and they have two straight games at home after that last one to make it even better! Lots of alums are throwing about suggestions and I think Pat is getting a feel of what works and what doesn't, so it'll be great!

The McNeese board is nice but the content just wasn't as good as what the Kats have.

I think it's ironic that the music playing the background of "What's a bearcat" is an old Bufflo Springfield... which most of you are too young to remember, but obviously not the producer of the video. Wonder why he chose this song? Of course some of the lyrics fit in with the shs view of life.
Artist: Buffalo Springfield Lyrics
Song: For What It's Worth Lyrics
There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away
We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Wonder if the "man with a gun" refers to the guys down the street sitting in the towers.
Oh, what a great song:thumbsup:
Also if this is for 2006, why are you showing SFA 2005. Are they the only team that you are afraid to play? Paranoia strikes deep!

He shows footage from the McCown era too. Just highlights from the past and the SFA footage has some good hits.

wow, Mr. Purple Lumberjack overanalyzed a bit too much.
Maybe I made the video before the season started. Maybe that's why I'm using last years footage. Maybe we happened to kill you on TV and that gave some great highlights.

SFA fan...
Saw the SLC media guide. No mention in the year to year history of the conference where they discuss the playoffs of SFA's title game run. Definitely doesn't exist in the SLC media guide...

Gosh that's interesting... you guys are certainly smart. You know, I was intrigued by that word you used... "Vacated." I guess it means that it never happened. Funny but I heard that same term used this afternoon when a Federal judge "Vacated" the guilty verdict on that Good Ol Boy Ken Lay. They said that Ken's conviction was "Vacated" so I guess he wasn't guilty & all the millions will be given back to the ones he stole them from. Isn't that "Vacated" a great term. Even tho it did happen, it didn't happen because of the magical "Vacated." Must be a shs created term. I also get the feeling I'm in the twil-light zone because when I go to the NCAA web site on individual & team records, I find this:
PASSES INTERCEPTED
11 -- Todd Hammel, Stephen F. Austin, 1989 (0 vs. Grambling, 4 vs. Southwest Mo. St., 2 vs. Furman, 5 vs. Ga. Southern).
TOUCHDOWN PASSES
14 -- Todd Hammel, Stephen F. Austin, 1989 (5 vs. Grambling, 4 vs. Southwest Mo. St., 2 vs. Furman, 3 vs. Ga. Southern).
Gosh, he did this in a game that wasn't even played!!! Wonder what would have happened if the game was played. Orwell & Rod Stiger would be proud of your logic. Which brings me back to the original question, what Texas Southland Conference schools made it to the Champeen game, whether it was vacated or not.
I guess if they didn't play in such a "Bland" stadium, as little pu calls it, we would be much better. I've seen both shs's & swt's stadiums in the last week & believe me there isn't that much difference in the three. Except swt doesn't have the nice scoreboard the other two has. When you have to start criticizing your rivals stadium to make yourself feel good, you have reached a new low.

One would think that by having a soon-to-be convicted murderer as a member and CAPTAIN of the '89 team that even some of the SFA faithful might feel compelled to forget. :nonono2:
