Anyone have the inside scoop?

The team announced Saturday morning that senior cornerback Jordan Love and senior tight end James Oboh were suspended for violation of unspecified NCAA (http://www.baltimoresun.com/topic/sports/college-sports/national-collegiate-athletic-association-ORSPT000122.topic) rules. I have no clue. Not sure what would have caused a suspension this close to the game.

Too bad they had to do this to their teammates.

Pure 100% speculation on my part, but when I see it worded this way, I think of failed drug test. I know they're tested during the playoffs.

Quick web search, sounds like drug violation.

Performance or recreational?

Pretty sure they're tested for both, but again, it's total speculation ... just guessing at what would trigger a suspension for NCAA violations now.

NCAA only tests for performance. Steroids, ephedrine, ect. Up to schools how they test for recreational. It is known that when you get into the playoffs its a guaranteed test but they do not test everybody on the team.

NCAA website says street drugs, however if they test for marijuana, their tests 15 years ago must have not been very accurate
