FCS Coach of the Year Award Named in Honor of Roy Kidd

Kidd finished his hall of fame career with more FCS wins than any other coach in history, with 223.
The award is given annually by CSN, the largest and oldest news service solely devoted to publishing original content and other information of the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision.
Kidd was born in Corbin, Kentucky in 1931 and played quarterback at Eastern Kentucky from 1950-53. He was hired as Eastern's head football coach in 1964. In 1967, Kidd led the Colonels to the first of 16 Ohio Valley Conference titles during his tenure, as well as a victory in the Grantland Rice Bowl over Ball State.
