Vraa not getting in over the likes of Kenny Cook or Roman Wilson makes me sad.

How no one from the front 7 of NDSU's defense made any of the 3 teams is beyond me.

Zenner an All-American but not anyone from the defense that holds him to nothing.

A bit generous. 3 or 4 better recievers in the PL last year, namely Ross and the trio from Fordham.

Wow! Andrew Grothmann, 1st team all American fullback! Great honor for a player who is often overlooked because all he does is the dirty work. Blocking fullbacks don't get a lot of publicity. He is a beast as a lead blocker and can catch the ball when needed! Congratulations Andrew!

All about stats for these AA teams.

But I agree. The best front 7 in all of FCS and not one guy on any of the teams.

You know, who cares. All of the Bison players would take a NC over any AA team.

It's mostly numbers driven which the guys on the NDSU defensive front 7 don't have. Emmanuel leads the team in sacks and TFLs with 6.5 and 9 respectively and Olson leads the team in tackles at 79 despite missing the last 4+ games. I don't think there's much debate about NDSU's defense being the best in the FCS and I almost take pride in the fact that they do it in such a team oriented way that no one stands out statistically. In fact, Marcus Williams made this team based pretty much on reputation only if you look at his numbers.

Eastern Washington, Towson and North Dakota State have 3, 5 and 4 representatives, respectively..

UNH? 0 ... huh?

There's no way there are 9 FCS WR's better than R.J. Harris. Period. Seamus O'Neill and Casey DeAndrade also warranted consideration, but that's ridiculous.

Mark Ross played without a QB for the 1st half of the season. The kid from Fordham is better than either Ross or Kurfis, but he gets 2nd team. Someone in the Lehigh athletic department is good at buttering up the voters.

You think you know everything, but in fact you stopped being objective some time ago.

It has no relevance to me, but I find it amusing that Lehigh players continue to be overrated in post season awards. I think someone does a LOT of lobbying on their behalf. No R.J. Harris..seriously.

Yeah, I admittedly don't know a whole bunch about those two guys. Being this seems to be a stat-driven award, that was all I could really go off. Vraa doing what he does on only 59 receptions in a run-first, balanced offense is really impressive.

NDSU doesn't get many 1k yard receivers.

That Ross not on s beause of system not LU. That Ross lacked a QB for 5-6 games while Lee had one for 8 games is not LU's fault. Look to your own program for that

Calm down.

Obviously these guys just look at stats. Sam Ajala was the best WR in the PL this year. Ross, Kurfis, Jones and Wetzel were all in the next tier. These guys all have different skill sets so hard to say who is best, but is a good discussion.

Personally I would go Ross, Wetzel, Kurfis and Jones. Ross for his uncanny ability to catch the ball in traffic. Wetzel and Kurfis are similar, but I think Wetzel has more speed. Kurfis good speed and hands, and excellent route runner.

Robertson was hands down the best quarterback I saw this season. I'd pick Nebrich and Quinn Epperly of Princeton over the first and second teamers, too. Bennett from SLU had a pretty incredible year as well. As good as Garoppolo is, Robertson, Epperly, Nebrich and Bennett can all beat you with their feet, or their arms. You could make a case for the year that Brock Jensen had as well. This All-American team seems more stat driven than anything else, but that is what you get when administrators don't ever, or rarely, leave their offices to watch games and when most of the voters watch one game a week. You'd get a better team if we did an AGS All-American squad. At least the folks around here watch a few more (a lot more, actually) FCS games.

I don't know who makes these lists or how they arrive at their decisions. They certainly make themselves look pretty damn foolish, though.

Sports Network included six players from the Patriot League on its All America teams; four from Fordham, one from Bucknell and one from Lehigh. Lafayette won the Patriot League title this season by beating all of them. Not only did Lafayette beat Lehigh, Bucknell and Fordham, it annihilated each of them by double digits. Even made them look silly at times. Lafayette rendered Ajala and Kurfis irrelevant; almost inept. But there's no recognition of Lafayette - not that it was deserved or expected, actually. Nor is there recognition of Colgate, the only team to beat the Pards.

The people who make these lists probably ought to watch the games or at least know something about the conferences from which they come.
