The B-CU Wildcats and the SCSU Bulldogs lost in the First Round of the D-I Championship playoffs. The MEAC has not won a playoff game since 1999, losing 18 straight games and has a 6-29 record in the tournament. On the other hand, the Tennessee State Tigers won and will move and in the process, earn the No. 1 ranking. Alabama State Hornets and the Southern Jaguars win in SWAC outside the D-I championships.
