The only thing that possibly qualifies as a shocker is that Caraun Reid was not a unanimous selection. I'd be very curious to see who didn't vote for him, but the Ivy doesn't reveal the voting.

You can debate this guy or that guy, but that's just quibbling.

He's not the first guy to get shortchanged because he didn't have anyone good around him. I'm sure he will get a shot at the NFL and we all wish him well.

That being said, Epperly did get Ivy offensive player of the week six times this season (tying a record). It was kind of hard not to vote for him. He's widely expected to get the Ivy Offensive MVP when it's announced later in the month.

Mathews is the most talented QB but I agree with the coaches on Epperly earning 1st team this year. He had the best numbers, led them to a great season, and went from a no name to a Payton finalist.

Several others will probably get invites to camps. From Dartmouth, it will probably be Pierre and Waggoner. Whether or not they make it is anyone's guess...

It's 75 degrees in Bermuda at Christmas. And no one does the Hamptons any longer. I was thinking cheap flights for the hoi-polloi.
