Yeah when NAU became completely one dimensional in the second half this game was over. SDSU can make one dimensional work (not saying they are) whereas NAU was a sitting duck at that point.

It's not odd seeing a Montana lineage guy cruising the sidelines at NAU but it is odd to see a former LB from 10 yrs. ago subddenly doing it...did anyone hear what happened there? Hope Souers is OK but to miss the game surely means something pretty serious I'd think.

But in each case, I can see why they were left out, and if they had been in would likely have had plenty of detractors complaining about their flaws and the travesty the committee would have let them in.

I doubt YSU would have beaten NAU the way they were folding at the end but UNI or SIU would have won easily. SIU had their QB back for the last game.

As for YSU, they were falling apart at the end of the year. Their schedule hurt them. It would have been far more better had the schedulers split up the trio of UNI, NDSU and SDSU. That said, both SIU and UNI would have taken out NAU.
