I did. Ortiz is a beast, especially when he takes you down, and Shamrock can't defend the blows.

Shamrock retires tonight. The end of a very successful career!

Best of luck to him.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him wrestling again

The way he was dominated tonight, I think this is the end of the road for him. Ortiz was freaking carrying him across the ring. Shamrock is 42 and at that age the conditioning is a major disadvantage.

ha, I'd pay to look like Shamrock now, much less at 42

Not saying he isn't in mad shape but age is definetly a disadvantage in a sport like the UFC.

Well, Ortiz is what? 31. Thats still considered fairly young in the UFC isn't it?

More like the prime of his career. 41 is considered old.

Shamrock is garbage. I could take Shamrock..lol, maybe not but his ground skills are horrible. Ortiz did the right thing by trying to get Shamrock off his feet and avoid the knockout. I know some Ju-jitsu, probably more than shamrock does from what i've seen. He had no ability to defend himself from the guard. It was pretty pathetic. I would love to see an Ortiz-Hughes fight even though they're in different weight classes.

The first undercard was good when both guys were bloodied and the fight went the entire 3 rounds.

Ortiz completely dominated Shamrock and after flipping Shamrock off, Ortiz redeemed himself by being a class act during Joe Rogan's interview with Shamrock.

Easy, young fella. Shamrock WAS a great fighter, and his submission skills are legendary. He is, however, OLD for a fighting sport. He can't do it at the highest levels anymore, but he has NEVER been garbage. If UFC has a Hall of Fame, Shamrock will definitely be a first ballot inductee.

PS- Saying Shamrock has no ability from the ground is like saying Mike Tyson can't knock anyone out. While both are washed up, all you have to do is look at the films. You'll see what they could do in their prime.

Look at the people Shamrock was competing against back in the day. The MMA scene was no where near as good as it is now. When the UFC first began you had guys tryin to use karate and crap like that. He was a big fish in a small pond.

Shamrock does not have any ability on the ground, that is a fact. If you call his ankle locks legendary submission skills you obviously don't know much about grappling. Also a well trained purple belt in ju-jitsu would beat Shamrock on the ground.
