I didn't get it either. It's as good as any other ESPN channel.

It is the most specialized ESPN channel other than ESPN3D, some cable companies don't have it. Otherwise Idk. I would assume it is simulcast on ESPNU and ESPN3.

The selection show itself generally sucks. I think it was Jay walker who infamously said the playoffs are exciting because it is a lose or go home game for everyone involved. :(
