Southern Illinois came to life in the second half for a 24-17 win over Illinois State Saturday afternoon at Saluki Stadium. With the win, the Salukis' (6-5, 4-3) slim playoff hopes remain alive after outscoring the Redbirds (5-6, 4-4) 14-0 the second half of Saturday's game thanks to a pair of Ken Malcome touchdown runs.
