Big South football continues this Saturday, Nov. 16, with two Conference games on the slate – Presbyterian at #9/11 Coastal Carolina on ESPN3 and #12/13 Charleston Southern at Gardner-Webb. PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE BLUE HOSE (3-6, 1-2 Big South) at #9/11 COASTAL CAROLINA CHANTICLEERS (9-1, 3-1 Big South) • Brooks Stadium • 1:00pm • ESPN3
THE SERIES: This is the seventh meeting between the schools. Coastal Carolina leads the series, 5-1.
BLUE HOSE BANTER: The Blue Hose’s lone win in the series came in 2007, a 41-34 overtime victory in Conway on Oct. 20 ... JEREMIAH McKIE is second in the League in kickoff returns with a 26.2 average, while LAQUA MAYES is fourth at 21.8 ... QB HEYS McMATH has thrown seven touchdowns in his four games, while completing 63.6 percent of his passes and averaging 233.2 yards per game ... UGONNA AKOH has recorded at least one TFL in all but two games this season, and ranks fifth in the Big South with 8.0 tackles-for-loss.
CHANTICLEER CROWS: Coastal Carolina has won the last five meetings with PC ... The Chanticleers have scored a school-record 62 touchdowns this season, and are four away from matching the Big South single-season record of 66 ... WR MATT HAZEL (155) needs six receptions to tie the Coastal career record of 161 ... Coastal is looking to finish the regular-season undefeated at home for the first time since 2009 ... DEVIN BROWN leads the Big South and is 13th in the nation in kickoff return average at 28.2 yards.
VMI KEYDETS (2-8) at The Citadel Bulldogs (4-6) • Johnson Hagood Stadium • 1:00pm
• This is the 69th meeting between the schools. The Citadel leads the series, 36-30-2.
• VMI’s last win over the Bulldogs for the Silver Shako trophy was in 2002.
• The Keydets are looking to win back-to-back games in the same season for the first time since 2005.
• WR SAM PATTERSON has caught a touchdown pass in his last five contests.
• QB A.J. AUGUSTINE is averaging 179 passing yards and has thrown seven touchdowns in his last four outings.

THE SERIES: This is the 13th meeting between the schools. Gardner-Webb leads the series, 8-4.
BUCCANEER BULLETS: Charleston Southern can clinch at least a share of the Big South championship with a victory on Saturday ... CSU is also looking to become the Big South’s first-ever 11-win team ... The Bucs lead the Big South and rank seventh nationally in 3rd down defense at 29.2 percent allowed ... Charleston Southern is the national leader in time of possession (35:09) ... RB CHRISTIAN REYES needs one rushing TD to become the first Buccaneer with 10 in a season ... The Bucs are 8-0 when rushing for more than 200 yards in a game.
BULLDOG BITES: Gardner-Webb is 3-0 at home against Charleston Southern since 2005 ... GWU is 0-3 in the Big South for the first time ... DL PRESTON PEMASA (16) needs 1.5 sacks to move into second-place all-time in Big South history ... RB JUANNE BLOUNT is nine rushing yards away from becoming the 15th player in Big South history with 2,000, and just the second GWU player on that list ... WR KENNY COOK has five 100-yard receiving games this season, including four in the last five games.

• This is the first meeting between the schools, and Liberty’s fourth first-time opponent this season.
• The Flames are 5-0 in November games under head coach TURNER GILL.
• DL CHIMA UZOWIHE leads the Big South with 7.0 sacks -- one away from tying the League record.
• Liberty has converted 50.6 percent of its third downs (44-of-87) in the six games.
• The Flames are looking for their sixth 7-win season in the last eight years.
