UCA vs. Hendrix College- basketball

UCA plays Hendrix College tonight in basketball. A very old rivalry between two schools that may be just a few miles apart but the game is usually intense! Hendrix is the rich kids school while UCA is the public option. Hendrix just restarted football at the division III level after 50 years and UCA is getting a foothold in division I. But at one time, they were dead even. So much that the stands are usually packed when these games happen in basketball. Former players and coaches all come out to watch this game!

While not the rivalry it used to be since UCA moved up, and not even the same attendance it used to be, the game is pretty fun to watch!

When the two schools broke off relations in 1919, Hendrix was kind enough to allow UCA to play their home games on the Hendrix court since UCA did not have an indoor basketball facility. Hendrix students attended these games in large numbers and cheered wildly for whoever was playing UCA.
