Looks Like the Gateway will shape up with Il. State at 4th. Youngstown State at 6th. Southern Illinois at 7th. Northern Iowa in Top 14 again.

The Gateway is #1, no questions about it!

My ballot is in...

Top remains pretty similar outside of Furman moving around due to the loss and Richmond slipping a spot or two...

Kats back in your 25?

I'll get mine in tomorrow. My stupid supersticious self got drunk tonight while watching the game. Kats were doing well at the beginning when I started drinking so I couldn't stop!

Kats back in your 25?

I do have the Kats back in my top 25..

2-0 against I-AAs (both on the road)
1-0 against sub Div I
0-2 against I-As

At this point, they are the top team in the SLC. The tide can change next week, but for now, they are deservant of a top 25...

How you figure? The A10 has currently... 1, 8, 10, 13. Maine will jump into the top 25 and Delaware will drop out. Towson should stay in.

GWFC should have 4 in the top 30 (2 top 10) and the lowest team should be around 50 I don't see us dropping with the lone non-conf loss being SUU by 3 at McNeese and the GWFC winning two non-conf games against ranked opponents

I don't think anyone should drop exept Towson, Delaware, and UCA in the top 25. Most of the losses were either against better teams, and the other teams that lost shouldn't be punished unless they lost to worse I-AA competition, which isn't the case for the most part.

You wouldnt drop Furman after a loss to unranked Coastal? I would also drop Richmond a few spots due to their loss.

A-10 is still on top.....after watching the other conferences games on TV, the A-10 plays on a higher level week in and week out

UCA's loss was to a team that was not even showing up on the AGS top 25 radar. While I did not drop them completely out of the poll, there were lots of people who did not have them as high as I did, so they'd have all the reason to drop them out.

Not sure Charleston South is deservant of votes for their awful schedule, but I am sure they will begin to get them now that they are 5-0...

the A-10 plays on a higher level week in and week out

Tell that to ILS, WKU, WIU, or SIU who were in absolute dogfights this weekend. The reason the GFC is nt #1 is easy....Indiana St and Mizzou St drag us down bigtime

Apparently we just need 10 teams so we don't have to play everyone every year and can say we have more good teams because our conference is bigger in general. :twocents:

Kind of a contradicting argument, don't you think? The A-10 is bigger, yet we are not talking about teams dragging down our conference, but here you guys are complaining about 1/4th of your conference dragging the Gateway down.

BTW, you will not hear me saying that the A-10 is playing on a higher level than the Gateway, I think both conferences are both very tough and that simply makes for great match-ups week in week out.

Would love to see Charleston Southern get a look from the pollsters. Their offensive machine is unstoppable. Drafts put up over 400 yards of offense again yesterday to put the Bucs at 5-0. Very possible they could run the table from here on out. I don't see anyone on the schedule until they get to Coastal in week 12 that can hang with them. If that come to pass, mark November 18th on the calendar for one of the wildest shootouts in Div 1AA history as CSU and Coastal battle it out for the second straight year for the Big South championship.

Nothing against CSU but they are putting 400 yards against a winnless team or bad DII's. Coastal is having the same offensive performance against good I-AA teams. We have much better wins. Even the teams we lost to are probably better than anyone CSU has played yet.

I do hope CSU and CCU run the table from here on out until the final game of the season - that will be a crazy atmosphere. Hopefully playing better competition will better prepare us for that game.

No love for Charleston Southern from this voter...

Beat a team that your not supposed to beat, not non-Div I teams and not Savannah St...

Next three games are sub Div I Edward Waters followed by VMI (a should win) and then Georgetown. If Chuck South goes 3-0 there, they still probably are not that deserving...
