Southern Illinois' hopes of making the playoffs likely ended with a 37-27 loss to Missouri State Saturday afternoon at Saluki Stadium. The Salukis (5-4, 3-2) built a 14-0 first quarter advantage before the Bears (4-6, 4-2) took a 21-17 lead in the final five minutes of the first half and held on the rest of the way.
