Kickoff shortly. Rainy weather in Bozeman. Still unsure, even now, as to who will quarterback the Vikings, sounds like White will start, but Smith is still being evaluated. Vikings just hoping for a win, ugly or otherwise.

Kickoff coming up.

Damn! Maybe MSU will actually climb back into contention. Maybe they'll make top 25 if they keep it up.

Yeah, and the way Montana has played in the 2nd Qtr, who knows what's going to happen today?

MSU isn't out of it. Uphill battle, but they're not done.

Where they missing anyone key during all their losses?

Where they missing anyone key during all their losses?

Where to start - For Chadron: Starting TE, starting RB

For Davis: Starting TE, Starting RB, Starting WR, Starting S went down and Starting DE went down, and Starting LB had been playing injured, and would not play next week

EWU: See All of the above

NAU: Starting TE returned, LB returned, but another starting S went down as well

Today: Returned first injured S, DE, and WR, and starting QB went down with a high ankle sprain

Next week: should return starting RB (although our backup, who is a true frosh, has played OUTSTANDING)

We have been banged up, but should've beaten at least Chadron.

Yeah, they were missing a few. As of the last loss, MSU was missing, I believe, 7 or 8 starters. Immediately coming to mind are:

Lewis (WR)
Groves (TB)
King (LB)
Force (SS)
Papich (DT)
Barnhart (TE)
LeBlanc (FS)

At the beginning of the season, MSU had 4 players with double-digit start streaks. Only 1 of those streaks remains. Anyway, as of today, I believe Force, Barnhart and King are back. Groves expected back next week (he's been missed, but a freshman TB has rushed for 192 and 134 yards in the 2 games of his absence).

If all goes as I hope (and I'm getting more optimistic, unlike after the Cal-Davis drubbing), Cat/Griz may be for the title.

Lewis was back, but limited action.

Groves- not yet .

LeBlanc- not yet.

Carpenter apparently out, but Rollovich looked good.

Great effort by the 'Cats 'O' against what was touted as the best 'D' in the Big Sky. Great 'D' by the 'Cats!! in a shutout.

Congrats to the Cats. That was a big win. I don't think PSU showed up with near the intensity that they had last week but then neither did the Griz today.

It is amazing what a difference a week makes, a field makes, the weather makes towards the outcome of games. I guess that is why we play the games every week. No one is safe from week to week.

Each school has a place where they don't play well for some reason or another. For us its Bozeman. Uncharacteristic mistakes doomed us from the start. Our high powered offense that even the great Griz defense couldn't totally shut down, could not get started in Bozeman.

Cats always come out and play against us, and play very well. Yesterday was no exception. We got outplayed. Better team that day won.
