In his first career start at safety, Illinois State junior defensive back Tevin Allen played the best game of his career and helped lead the Redbirds to a 13-3 win over Northern Iowa Saturday. For his efforts, Allen was named the co-Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week by the league office Sunday.
