It's now 23-7 Holy Cross with 2:12 left in half.

Tebucky Jones seems like he's hurt, and it's having an effect.

Awesome run by Nebrich to score right before half.

Holy Cross 23, Fordham 14, halftime.

Nebrich for Fordham has 356 yards passing in first half but only 14 points.
23-14 Holy Cross

Fordham can't afford to lose this one if they want to make a serious run in the playoffs. Home field is needed....

I hate these threads that have 1st half scores in the subject line. I'm sure there are people browsing the forums who think we lost without checking further

I would contend that "2nd Q" immediately follows the score for Fordham in the thread title, but I don't have enough faith in the reading comprehension of an MVC, Big Sky, or SoCon student/alumnus that they would understand the implication anyways.

Yep, I'm willing to bet all three would go into the victory formation by halftime, à la Robert E. Lee at Appomattox.

If last week's no show defense comes to play, even the Valley Forge Military Academy could put a few dozen points on the board. I hear they're almost as good as The Citadel.

FUMA would probably whip us both

What a scary mothereffing game. Amazing performance put forward by Holy Cross. Fordham/HC always seems to be close, no matter the two teams record.

For what it's worth, Fordham had 700 yards of offense, two turnovers on what were most likely scoring drives, and missed a chip shot field goal. Probably should've had 50, but that's the thing, they didn't. And when you mess up a couple of things on offense, and your defense is so unbelievably mediocre, games like that become very close.

But hey, 9-0 is 9-0. Go Rams.

Bordentown (NJ) Military Institute, coached by Al Verdel and Louis Masella. Sadly closed in 1972.

They had a hell of a football team. Floyd Little and other future AFL and NFL players graduated from there.
