Colin Cowherd insinuates that David Ortiz is using steroids

For what they get paid, PED testing should be required for all players. Those caught with the goods should be banned for life. Not saying Ortiz is guilty, but there is always a bit of doubt when hot streaks like this happen in this era. Peralta, Cruz, Braun, etal should have all been banned for life and their stats wiped from the books.

The fact that Ortiz hit .733 in the World Series is not evidence that he used steroids. He batted piss poorly against Detroit in the ALDS. Shooting up roids wouldnt increase batting average a week later....

What is evidence of steroid or PED use is the fact that he can hit so well all year long, and stay healthy.

Cowherd is a douche of the highest order. He may ultimately be right that Papi is juicing, but he's only saying this to get ratings. I don't understand why anyone listens to that ass clown.

I would disagree. Papi has been doing this since 2004. Just look at his World Series career.

Now, there is definitely an argument for pre-2004 vs post 2004 in regards to steroids.

Mark Lemke wasn't very good most of his career, but he was a beast in the postseason. It happens from time to time.

Ortiz certainly doesn't strike me as a juicer, or at least it's not a relatively new phenomena. He's been that big since he came up with the Twins.

I do agree with Citdog, though. He wouldn't have a job in the National League.
