The nations premiere institution for Hearing Impared College kids (Gallaudet) is having a really good season so far (7-0). They may even have one of their students who can read lips somewhat and must sign to communicate may get drafted in 2014. If your team is on a bye and you can get to DC for their playoffs or a regular season game, you should check this team out. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/colleges/gallaudet-universitys-football-team-is-a-long-way-from-grambling-state/2013/10/24/ead7054c-3cde-11e3-a94f-b58017bfee6c_story_1.html is the story of this team.

Nice article. I remember reading one years ago- it must have been from SI- on Gallaudet and how they had someone on the sideline beat the cadence on a drum.
I officiated a game with the Minnesota School for the Deaf. The fullback jumped on the PAT, they scored and were celebrating- I had to come in and wave it off. They are looking at me with the "Who was it" look while the fullback was pointing at himself. I don't remember calling any late hits in that game.
