THIBODAUX – Backup tailback Kelvin Bennett ran for a career-high 169 yards, 118 of those in the second half alone, and Khalil Thomas scored on a 94-yard kickoff return on the final play of the third quarter as 4th-ranked McNeese State rolled up 512 yards of offense en route to a 55-30 Southland Conference win over Nicholls here Saturday afternoon.
