You can watch the game here: http://www.campusinsiders.com/network/patriot_league

I apologize if the feed may accidentally tuned into the Bucknell game... if so, just click on the Lafayette game.

The game should be featuring two starting freshman QBs that received FBS offers, with Holy Cross' Pujals playing a majority of HC's games and tossing 12 TDs and 2 INTs. Lafayette features Drew Reed, who is making his first career start after making a second half appearance at Harvard. Reed confidently led the Pard offense, tossing for close to 200 yards and going something like 14-18... again, in one half.

Lafayette-Holy Cross have taken very weird twists and turns every year since 2006, so it is worth watching this one!

Ugh, Pards scored a TD by marching downfield with Reed... missed XP, blocked... you know what's coming!!!

The middle-school quality commercials on the HC feed are entertaining.

Pujals is solid for a freshmen, but now "wowing" me yet... Pard defense vulnerable but held HC in the redzone when needed... 6-3 Lafayette

Pards avert disaster... Kessel fumbles a short KO, HC guy had it but Schuerman somehow recovered.

Damn Frankosaurus strikes again... third and one... STUFFED! A very predictable play. End of the first.

Play action gives Pards a first on fourth... big gain to the HC 30. Shoulda been the third down call.

TOUCHDOWN! XP Good... 13-3 Pards... TD pass to Ross... it was defensible but Ross made a nice move and grabbed the ball at the line for six.

HC drive stuffed at the LC 40... punt goes for touchback... halfway thru 2nd Q... 13-3 Pards.

Pards driving again; Ross 56 yards, 3 rec, 1 TD... Schuerman out of the game for an unknown reason... maybe leg injury.

TD ROSS! Defender fell down and Pards score from the 10... 20-3 LAFAYETTE!

5min to play in half. Defender fell down in endzone.

Pards have scored on every drive.

27-10 Pards... technical difficulties on the PL site!

How did the Pards make it 27-3? Pick 6?

HALFTIME!! 27-10 Lafayette... Reed has really sparked the offense by making smart decisions and being mobile. HC defense is clearly not the best, but Reed is making plays. Pard defense also up to the task... we are not impenetrable, but it's bend, not break

Lafayette 34-10!!! Reed drives Pards downfield yet again. Schuerman scores on a busted play when shoulda been dropped for a loss.

Pards still in control, but a dumb INT on fourth pins them deep.

TOUCHDOWN LC! 41-10... Reed to Ross... 8plays, 83 yards, 4 minutes...

22-23, 285yrds, 5TDs for Reed... Yes, you've read that right.

TD HC... 41-17... Pards walked HC to the end zone with soft zone coverage and two personal fouls.

TD HC... less than a minute to go with subs in... 41-23... Lafayette has this one in hand for a W.

Just saw this... yes, pick six, ball tipped at line and LB made easy catch and returned 30yrds.

Impressive, we may need a double dose of Frankasaurus on the 23rd

Congrats to the Pards....they dominated every phase of the game....somewhat shocked at how poorly we played but much of that was due to Lafayette's execution. you guys should be right in the hunt up to and through the Lehigh game.

So if Lafayette or Colgate finished tied with Lehigh for league with one loss, does LEhigh get tiebreak cuz of H2H?? Serious question

Don't even want to think about this yet because there are still big games left to play... but I think it goes by common OOC opponents and GPI ranking... a coin flip may be involved. Basketball it goes by record against teams you are tied with and then you work down the standings, but I don't know...

It is too early to worry about it, but I'm unclear of the tiebreak policy of league.

H2H is tiebreaker.

Pard4Life

Yes Tanks but I think 98 is asking about a three-way tie.

Lehigh'98
October 26th, 2013, 04:41 PM
I don't think a 3 way 1 loss tie is possible that includes Lehigh as they would have to beat Gate and Laf, plus they still play each other. Now that I think about it. H2H at least simplifies 2 team tie.

I am pretty sure the first tie break criteria is head-to-head. In 2006 LC beat us in Coen's first year. We both ended with one league loss, but Leopards went to playoffs because of beating us.

Yes but it could be Lehigh, Lafayette, Bucknell 4-1. All 1-1 head to head.

HC, BU an Gtown are effectively eliminated from the title. Would love for it to come down to Laf for league title, but a lot has to happen still for that.

For us, I have no idea what the heck the expect form Colgate. We usually have trouble with them, but they are very suspect this year.

We will take care of Hoyas.

Lehigh road much tougher: HC still dangerous and of course, you have to go to Hamilton. They come to Fisher.

We will take care of Hoyas.

At this rate, unless Georgetown schedules Davidson multiple games every season or dips down to D-II opponents, the Hoyas will not be favored in any game for years to come.

But if Georgetown did beat Lafayette a fourth straight year, the post-game comments from the Lafayette faithful would be remarkable.

Yeah. Let's see them dip down to NW Missouri.
