North Dakota State continues winning and holding at #1 in the Gridiron Power Index (GPI), the index ranking for the NCAA Division I FCS and a top indicator of at-large playoff selection. The Bison have held the top spot since 2011. McNeese State, Eastern Washington and Maine moved up as three top 10 teams ahead of them lost.
The Missouri Valley Football Conference and Colonial Athletic Association have five teams each in the top 25; the Big Sky Conference
