Didn't see anyone post this anywhere. If it's up, sorry for the duplicate.
Dinged up thumb - some say possible surgery, and a tweaked foot.

Ehhh we have three backups, none of which have much experience, but all three will play apparently. Dalton Demos is on on the 2pt conversions, but has not thrown a pass all year. Grad Student Brian Kass (Wofford xfer) has thrown 2 passes and ran a few times in one of the blowouts. Sophomore Michael Church has not played at all. I assume VMI will get a healthy does of Taliaferro and Henderson.

Brian Kass has real game-time experience, just not for CCU.
He is a competent, but not flashy, performer. He is not durable enough to play the triple option week-in and week-out, and was plagued by nagging injuries, but should do well in a more traditional offense.
Of course, do you really need a QB to beat VMI?

VMI's QB Eric Kordenbrock will miss the CCU game as well.........on the last play of the 1st half @ Presbyterian, #75 laid out Eric with a blind side, helmet to helmet hit (the PC player was kicked out for two halves). A J Augustine will start Saturday in Conway. AJ is more mobile, and apt to run if forced out of the pocket, and he had a hell of a 2nd half at Presby, leading VMI to 315 yards of offense while he was in the game (defense cost the Keydets that game).

In what little I've seen from Kass in practice film and the few chances he's been able to play, he's great with the option but isn't a strong, consistent passer. We'll probably work all 3 backups in and play to their strengths.
