Its finally Magic City Classic week here down south. For the 72nd time we will meet AAMU in Birmingham at historic Legion Field to play what has become the number one HBCU classic game in the country. I'll be posting updates, picture, and the whole nine as the week goes on.

Any further word on the possibility the game will be moved on campus?


Moving the game on campus was never a possibility. This game draws over 100,000 to the city of Birmingham and over 65, 000 in attendance for the game. The city of Birmingham is key in recruiting for both schools and a great deal of both of our student bodies hail from the Birmingham metro area. Neither Montgomery nor Huntsville have the facilities or resources to handle this game.

How bad of shape is Legion Field these days? Birmingham ever going to do anything about it?

Who knows? Birmingham has been pushing for dome for the last year or so very hard.
