I think UND got some respect after last years conference finish and tournament run.

UND wasn't very good last year though.

Did you do damage in the BSC tourney?

UND had the most conference wins of any expansion team in the BSC, and finished 3rd in the conference also the best ever by a newbie in the BSC. UND made it to the final four in the tournament losing to Weber St but almost pulled out a victory as WSU had to come from behind to win. Once UND had Huff back in their lineup (injury) UND was kicking ass in the Big Sky.

Ah, I remember UND getting blown out against NDSU. Must have picked it up after that.

UND was without 2 of their starters. Brandon Brekke who got a concussion 3 minutes into the game, and superstar Troy Huff. When Huff got healthy, UND exploded during conference play. UND was 1-6 after the loss to NDSU then went 14-9 including winning 4 in a row at the end before losing to WSU 76-74 to end the BSC tournament run.

North Dakota has a pretty solid team and I see no reason why they cant compete to win the BSC. The game against NDSU should be a very good game.

Solid doesn't win the Big Sky...

Being hot at the right time does. UND was on a roll late in the season and should've played Montana for the BSC title instead of letting Weber St to come back and win.

The top teams are good. The bottom teams are really bad. Last 5 or 6 years you have to win 13 conference games to have a shot. And the top team is usually undefeated at home in conference. A solid team just isn't going to win on the road. Only good teams will.

Right, the Big Sky has been so top heavy lately its been quite easy to rack up wins, like Montana and Weber have done.

Which is why solid won't win the conference.
