Sacred Heart’s offensive weapons were on full display during a 59-36 victory over Nutmeg State rival Central Connecticut, and two of them earned weekly honors from the NEC.* SHU running back Keshaudas Spence produced the first 200-yard rushing performance in a league game this season on the way to capturing the NEC Offensive Player of the Week award. Spence’s rushing prowess complimented the RJ Noel-led passing attack.* Noel, the NEC Rookie of the Week, threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns in helping Sacred Heart notch its first conference victory.* Duquesne salted away its win over defending NEC champion Wagner when Devin Rahming ran a punt back 62 yards for a score.* After becoming the first Duke to return a punt for a score since 1997, Rahming earned the NEC Special Teams Player of the Week honor.* The NEC Defensive Player of the Week award belongs to Saint Francis linebacker Ansalemo Fruean, who spearheaded an effort that held Monmouth to its lowest offensive output of the season.
