How accurate is that? I caught parts of the game and it looked like there was maybe half that at the most.

A hair shy of 11K saw Dartmouth's homecoming win over Yale.

I think we're averaging over five figures at home this late in the season for the first time in a long while.

And if Dartmouth wins the next two as expected (Bucknell, Columbia), expect a 20K crowd at Harvard Stadium when Dartmouth comes to Cambridge. (Weather permitting).

I thought you said you had to beat Penn to draw 20K at Harvard. xconfusedx :D

We lost in 4 OTs. And we beat the highest ranked (in terms of receiving votes) Ivy team.

Close enough. :)

UNH drew 18,412. Homecoming.

Not bad for a stadium with only 8K seats on the home side.

seriously, where do people sit? I've been there once and the visitor side looks like bleachers for 1,000 tops.

very impressive gate.

Tribe had 7,921, a low number for W&M, but better than expected considering a rain soaked day and school closed for Fall Break.

That cant be right. No way they can get 18k in there.

I was at the tailgate, which was amazing, and could have had 18k in there. Got so drunk I missed the game however......

No chance in hell UNH drew 18K yesterday. I looked at pictures, the stands weren't even completely full. If you take the 1 off that figure, it could be right. Cowell holds 8K, tops.

Some number padding in the CAA yesterday or just a lot of disinterested no-shows. Elaware didn't get 17, JMU didn't have 19k and Towson St surely didn't break 10k.

Tailgating policy for Boulder Field is a game ticket requirement for entrance. It was Homecoming and I'm guessing tickets were counted at the one entrance to Boulder Field. I was there, no question in my mind that at least 18K people were tailgating pregame! I heard reports of student attendance of nearly 7K and were probably counted at the pedestrian entrance to Boulder Field. I drove up Main Street at 9:00 and students were walking up both sides of the street in droves, "A" Lot was packed, traffic for Boulder Field was a long line down SR 155A that was still going over the hill toward Lee as far as I could see, lower fields behind Bremner and Boulder Fields were utilized for parking/tailgating and packed, etc. Between the near 7K student tickets and all the alumni who bought tickets, I easily see how 18K+ tickets were sold. If attendance was counted the same way the past several years at Homecoming, then there would have been similar numbers reported IMO. They've developed a different traffic flow for Homecoming to handle the crowds. I doubt they would over report when the bean counters would be expecting gate revenue based on the attendance number.

Too many alumni with student id's were getting into games so more tickets were sold to alumni just going to tailgate and also undergrads like myself had to go and buy a ticket too which we have never had to do so there was probably only 10-12k like usual but they counted the 6-8k that just went to tailgating. First year they instituted the rule.

8,272 in Macon to watch the YoungBears stay undefeated at home (5-0 @ home, 5-1 overall) for the past 72 years & knock off another league opponent. Beautiful day, but early (noon) kickoff and another, less important, game kicking off at the same time a few miles away in Athens, GA may have hurt the turnout somewhat. Macon still lovin' their Bears though & Mercer Football is definitely on its way to becoming Middle Georgia's TEAM!
