IF the Cardinals win tomorrow they will clinch the NL Central and the final NL playoff spot no matter if the Astros win or not. If they lose and the Astros win St. Louis will have to make up the game with the Giants. The outcome of that game will decide who goes to the playoffs. The Astros have the chance to go to the playoffs by 1/2 a game.
GO ASTROS!!!
GO BREWERS!!

not quite...if we lose both games to the Brewers and Giants we would have a one-game playoff with Houston...

I was 10. I still remember the Phils beating the Reds 10-0 on the last day of the season and waiting for the Mets-Cards score. When the Cards won, I went to my neighbor's tree house and cried for an hour.:bawling:

I was sitting our swing set in the backyard, listening to the Mets/Cardinals game on my radio--don't remember how I was able to pick it up. And yes, the tears flowed. I had standing room only tickets already at Connie Mack Stadium. Guess we better not let this thread become a psychoanalytical venting--we don't know what may bubble to the surface!:D
