Lamar at Sam Houston State
Northwestern State at Nicholls State
Nebraska-Kearney at Central Arkansas
Stephen F. Austin at Southeastern Louisiana
Abilene Christian at Houston Baptist
With 5 games this contest it will continue to be close. Six more "weeks" to go after this and if there is a tie then the leaders will call the score for the first playoff game(s) involving the SLC. Good luck! xthumbsupx

Wait!! You forgot McNeese vs O.D.U.!!
My prediction: Open Date U. will put up 500 yards and 30 something points up against our D. :)
Doc
Okay, now back to the regularly scheduled serious prognostications.

Okay, now back to the regularly scheduled serious prognostications. If a measly little D2 can, I don't see a reason why OPU can't.;)

Lamar at Sam Houston State - Lamar appears to be improved somewhat, but I don't see them slowing the Kats down a whole lot. Flanders will get 150+ in 2 1/2 quarters then Keshawn Hill and company pile on another 200+ yards rushing. Kats 56, Cards 13
Northwestern State at Nicholls State -Going out on a limb here. Although I think NWLA will make some noise in SLC play, Nicholls uses the swamp magic and picks up first SLC win in ... Well who knows the last time they won a conference tilt. Colonels 24, Demons 21
Nebraska-Kearney at Central Arkansas - The Bears are mad and obviously have the offensive firepower to put up big numbers in this one. It will be ugly for Nebraska Kearney. UCA 77, N-K 24
Stephen F. Austin at Southeastern Louisiana - This ones a toss up for me right now. WHO KNOWS what SFA team will make their way to Hammond. I'm guessing the Jacks will make it a track meet but turnovers will do them in again. Lions open SLC play with a win. Lions 49, jacks 42
Abilene Christian at Houston Baptist - The battle of the newbies to the conference as they wait to officially join the league will likely see a lot of purple in the endzone. ACU 42, HBU 20.

That West Alabama team is still the best Div II I have seen us play in person. If you guys are bored Thursday night they are playing No. 1 Valdosta St. on ESPN3. Should be an entertaining college football game.
Okay, I promise to quit derailing this thread now.
