Southern Illinois held on for a 27-24 win to knock off No. 7/9 South Dakota State Saturday afternoon on the muddy terrain at Coughlin Alumni Stadium. In a tight contest, the score was tied three separate times. Although the Salukis trailed for less than three minutes of the game, they never led by more than 10.
