I don't know if I'd say that but they'd be competitive with middle tier FCS teams (think Missouri St/Indiana St). They were much better than Delaware St but that's not saying much. I think they looked better than they were against the Bison defense because our guys mailed it in after going up 35-0 late in the 2nd quarter and to Ferris St's credit they played hard until well into the 4th. If the NDSU defense would've played with the same amount of effort for the whole game against Ferris St that they did against South Dakota St it would've been a 56-0 final.

So would have the high schools in ND. But as far as them beating Tulane, Villanova and Cal Poly? C'mon. Sagarin rankings are stupid. They have UND over some FBS teams. Even I wouldn't do that.

And I stand by the fact that their offense is legit, as I watched them play for three quarters against the #1 defense in FCS. Did the Bison D have an off day? Probably. But I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the DII playoffs this year.
