Who here thinks ISU-r is #35 in the nation? How about Indiana State at #39? or SFA at #40.
Keep in mind to get these designations someone had to find them deserving of atleast a top 25 vote, for #39 and #35 several people would have had to decide they were worthy of #25, or perhaps one person found Illinois State to be the 20th best team in the FCS.

At this point, it appears to me as if the AGS pollsters probably have put more study into their ballots than the coaches.

What a bunch of crackpots! What is with all of the UNH love when they are 1-2 and struggling? Ridiculous.
I can't wait for the season to progress and these pretenders to fall by the wayside.

Completely agree. The wins over Villanova and Temple are both more impressive than any of Coastal's wins IMO.

Careful what you wish for...............UNH/Maine Nov.23 might be for a final playoff spot. Hate for that struggling team to get in the way:D

Coaches spend all week (7 full days) doing two things: watching film on one team and coaching theirs. They haven't a clue...a clue...what other programs have done or how good/bad they are unless they played them this season. Pathetic.

I only have a problem with the fact that UTM relies on the casual fan to get butts in the seats, the 3,000 or so that will always be there will be there, but you try to pump up a game- Beat #24 and Beat #7 try to sell that to the alumni & locals (aka casual Vol fans) and then spend three weeks trying to explain how your team is ranked #23 in one poll, and not ranked in the other.........I've been around FCS long enough not to care about the polls, but I think it is relative to attendance and excitement- a ranked team will always have a bigger "bandwagon" than an unranked team my xtwocentsx

That's always the case. In fact, I doubt the coaches 'study' much at all. They have their own concerns and planning for their teams. All they see are comparative scores and their familiarity with certain programs and coaches. Further, I would not be surprised if the school's SID's filled out the forms for the coaches. No way the coaches have the time, or inclination, to really study up on all the teams playing, unless they are playing one of them themselves.

The school's SID's are the voters in the TSN poll, look at voter list and compare to your schools SID's, at least in the OVC voters its all SID's, thus the coaches poll would more resemble the TSN poll
