Even though the Cardinals won last night the Astros are still in the hunt. Ausmus drove in the winning run in the 15th inning last night to keep the 'Stros running strong. Oswalt is up today.
PITTSBURGH -- The general attitude surrounding the Houston Astros these days is centered around one main concept. They must win the rest of the their games this season, even if time isn't on their side.
They dodged a bullet on Wednesday, coming from behind to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-6. It took nine pitchers, 16 position players and four hours and 50 minutes to complete the 15-inning marathon, one that allowed the Astros to keep pace with the St. Louis Cardinals, who ended a seven-game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the Padres.
