The Donald D'Alesio nomination is a complete miss. Not only did he get scorced teh first half, he didn't cuse the fumble. YSU's LB' caused the fumble that this guy is getting credit for. Whatever.

D'Alesio lead the team in tackles, recovered a fumble that the official stats show he forced (http://www.ysusports.com/sports/fball/2013-14/boxscores/20130928_7aqp.xml). BTW, not only YSU sports say it but the conference does as well (http://www.valley-football.org/news/default/2013-14/6845/valley-football-players-of-the-week---sept-28/).

Donald D’Alesio, Safety, Youngstown State, 6-0, 195, Junior, Youngstown, OH

D’Alesio had a career-high 15 tackles in the Penguins’ 28-27 come-from-behind conference win at Southern Illinois. His previous high was 11 stops at Missouri State in 2010. Ten of his total were solo tackles, also a career-high. After a wild first half the Youngstown State defense held SIU to zero points and 120 yards of offense. YSU finally took a 28-27 lead with 1:55 remaining and with SIU driving in Penguin's territory, D’Alesio forced and recovered a fumble at the YSU 41 yard line that ended the SIU comeback bid.

I agree that the 15 tackles is impressive, I am just saying that LB Travis or LB Teven Williams ( I can't keep them straight in my head) made the tackle on the All-American TE for SIU and caused the fumble. That is all I am saying. It is on ESPN 3 replay and happened at the end of the game. I am not saying the nomination is out of line, just saying that he recovered the fumble. The person causing the fumble made the big play, eventhough YSU needed everyine of the 15 tackles made by D'Alesio.

Amazing people have to find something to always bitch about.

Congrats Donald!
