View Full Version : I-AA game of the week

During the summer, i-aa.org ran a poll for fans to select one game each week as the best game in all of I-AA. Almost 4 months later, and 5 weeks into the season, I wanted to run a poll to see if people still have the same opinions. So what to do all you AGSers think, is New Hampshire vs. Delaware still the biggest game of the week, or has another matchup surpassed it's importance? The first 5 selections were the top five chosen for this week according to fan vote at i-aa.org. If you vote "other," please specify the game you believe is the most important.

It has to be Delaware v. UNH for two reasons. UNH's #1 ranking and Ball's attempt at breaking J. Rice's record.

Agreed! We'll get some idea how good PSU is this year.

The game of the week is GSU vs Western Carolina.
It should be dubbed the "Somebody's gotta win game."
We're playing for the Jug. Wait, no we're not. But our coach has been drinking out of a jug filled with lots of illegal stuff. :)

PSU/UM
UD/UNH
HU/DSU
those are all worthy of the nod this week because they all have SERIOUS playoff implication even though it's only week 4.

I hope the Hens pull off the upset....
Hopefully that will vault the Apps back into the one spot if it happens.
Go Hens!!

Maybe FU @ WC but IMO EKU is already toast and I think JSU will have a tough time even if they beat EKU.

Montana at Portland St. - This is the deciding game for the Big Sky auto-bid. Montana isn't likely to be beat in Missoula by a Big Sky team. Only Poly appears to have a likely chance to win in Griz stadium.
And Poly better find their offense if they are going to do so.

Hampton at Delaware St. is going to be an outstanding game. Delaware St. is a very talented team, I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the upset.

Agree. HU and DSU will determine who wins the MEAC. This game is going to be a tough one.

Montana/Portland State
If the UD fans aren't sandbagging, they don't seem to have much of a shot to beat UNH or win the autobid, so the game, while important, is not as important as the Big Sky clash.

Two games which will go along way to determining their respective conferences this early in the season is great news for us as fans.

I admit to not knowing much about Portland, we already know Montana is good. And could have been better, but I REALLY want to see what Delaware is made of. This is the game of the week to see if they are good or over-rated.

I'll go with Montana-Portland State being the bigger game. The Vikings have a chance to prove they are big shots if they can defeat the Griz. Delaware hasn't proven to be as good as many of us thought and should...should lose to New Hampshire...though this is Any Given Saturday for a reason.
BTW, is Omar Cuff 100%? I'm just wondering, as I thought he alone might make Delaware a threat to be a force again. Poorer line play than expected? Something?
