 About the only positive thing I say can about him: Most of the time he just mumbles so you can't understand the idiocy spewing from his mouth.

He's too senile now. No reason for ESPN to keep him.

Lou knows football, he's cool. Sometimes he says somethings out of pocket... but he's old, so you forgive him and let it go. But the old man knows football, and everynow and then he'll hit you with some really positive wisdom. Like when they were talking about the student population at Central Florida, and 28,000 of them being women... and Lou said "Well, you only need one!"- Classic

Lou has far more FB knowledge in his cranium than the two nimrods he sits between on ESPN. Leave him alone!

Lou Holtz, violations either by him or in his tenure at Notre Dame, South Carolina, and Minnesota, no? He needs to go anyways.

Keith Jackson the last few years was far better than Holtz the last few years.

I love Lou. There have been better coaches at Notre Dame but i don't know if there's been anyone there that loved the university as much as he does. He will probably go down as the most beloved coach ever at ND, more so than Knute Rockne. The interviews following the Miami game in '88 and the FSU games in '93 show how much he felt the student body meant to the football program and what football meant to the university. He also had a great interview with Larry King prior to the start of the 1993 season, just prior to to release of "Under the Tarnished Dome". I really don't think he committed any real rules infractions. It's funny to watch Lou battle with Mark May every Saturday in the studio. It's quite obvious May hates ND with a passion and will take a stab at them at every chance.

Is Lou Holtz really on TV & Beano Cook doesn't even have a 1-minute segment anymore?

Lou Holtz needs to go the Old Coaches Home and shut up.
